The Fund is the curator of the First International festival Imperial Gardens of Russia. It was founded in 1992 with the support of the Russian Museum. The basic directions of the Fund's activity are: culturalogical and educational.

The sphere of the Fund’s activity contains maintenance of creative initiatives, introduction of grants, and realization of social programmes that are directed to the support of the most vulnerable citizens’ categories, who are children-invalids, children-orphans and veterans.

The Fund is the participant of the Federal programme for a special purpose “Revival”. It gives organization and financial support to one of the directions of this programme that is the opening of the network of “The Russian Museum: The Virtual Branch” Information and Educational Centres in many cities in Russia and abroad.

The Charity Fund of his Excellence Prince Michael of Kent, which was founded in Russia in 2004, concentrates
its main efforts on financial support of socially useful projects in the fields of culture, development of youth
creative potential, conservation of historic cultural heritage, health protection, and education. According to
Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Fund?s activity meets all the priorities
of the cultural and social policy of the Russian Government.
The Fund provides equipment for hospitals, creation of children?s playrooms in the hospitals, grants for
education in prestigious education centers, and socialization programs for problem teenagers. Every morning
one can hear the toll of the huge bell «Tsar Mikhail», which was a gift from Michael Kent?s Fund to the Holy
Trinity Ipatevsky Monastery in the city of Kostroma. Every year thousands of children with severe oncological
diagnoses, as well as children suffering from burns, undergo a rehabilitation course and gain strength in
the education recreation camps which are supported by the Fund. And it doesn?t matter where the frequent
meetings of Prince Michael with his associates take place — in the Moscow Kremlin, Kensington Palace, at a
charity motor rally or in the imperial gardens of St. Petersburg — they always inspire new charity projects.

Park Giuseppe Restaurant

The restaurant is located in one of the most picturesque places of city centre - on the Mikhailovsky Garden territory with a view of the “Saviour on the Blood” Cathedral. Two halls of restaurant and a hall of a terrace, where it is warmly in winter, and it is cool in summer are offered to visitors. The interior highlight of the “Park Giuseppe” Restaurant is the wood furnace established in one of the halls that was specially brought from Italy. The “Gardener” Newspaper is the organ of the Union of Horticulturists of Russia. It was published first in 1996. Now it comes out weekly (on Thursdays).
